Reset the server or client area password
Two different passwords: the client area login and the guest Administrator or root user.
People mix these up. The client area password is your Noble VPS account. The server password is the guest OS.
Client area password
On dash.noblevps.com use Forgot Password. A reset link is emailed to the address on the account. We cannot read the old password.
Windows Administrator
If you can still open Remote Desktop, change it in Computer Management. If you are locked out, open a ticket or use the password reset / VNC action on the service if it is shown.
Linux root
If you still have SSH, set a new root password, then prefer SSH keys so this happens less often.
passwdIf you are locked out, use the console or reset action in the client area.
After a reset
Update any scripts, RDP clients, and password managers. Rotate the credential if you had to send it through a ticket.
